I have nothing to wear.
My name is Courtney, a social worker and style blogger based in Dallas, TX. I used to look in my closet and think, “I have nothing to wear”. If you’re like how I was, your closet is a huge source of overwhelm.
I have been a style blogger since 2014. In 2016, I realized that I had filled my closet with cheap and trendy items, but had nothing to wear. This, for me (and maybe for you, too) translated to “I don’t have a personal style”. I was shopping based on what was popular, with no regard to how these products were sourced or how they looked on me.
I knew that I needed to change. So I made the transition to a capsule-style wardrobe to try to manage my closet better. I needed to keep track of my purchases, how the products were sourced, the quality of items, and how they worked with my other pieces.
Since moving to a more minimalist lifestyle, I have made intentional (and ethically when possible!) purchases in order to curate my own personal style. I’ve learned how to really focus on what I want my clothes to say about me.
A little about me: I live in Dallas, TX with my sweet cat, Queen Bee. I’m a social worker, which is why you will find a lot of ethical clothing options all over my blog, Instagram, and wardrobe.
Other things I enjoy: Steel City Pops, talking about politics and legislation, and rescuing animals off the street (much to my dad’s dismay).
