Love Loft: Tropical Print Midi Dress

loveloft1
When I was a kid, I was the adventurous child. I was always willing to try out new foods and I could make friends quite easily. The only time I wouldn’t try new things was when it came to clothes. Almost always, I had a specific store that I would exclusively buy clothes from, and no where else. Of course, now I have a very diverse list of stores I shop in.

If I were to come up with a list of my favorite stores, LOFT would definitely be at the top. It didn’t become one of my top choices until recently (probably in the last year or so), when I was beginning to build a professional wardrobe, but once I did, I knew that I wouldn’t be able to stop shopping there.

Usually when shopping, I’m on the search for pieces that will last for a good amount of time (I’m talking years, people) because sometimes LOFT can be pricy. But since joining the email list, I learned that LOFT frequently has sales, which is where I picked up this LOFT Tropical Print Midi Dress.

I paired it with my Kendra Scott Morgan Studs in Emerald Cats eye and a Baublebar Necklace.

One of the main reasons I love this dress is because it is something I wouldn’t normally buy for myself. The print almost reminded me of those Hawaiian shirts that old men wear on cruises, but the more I looked at it and saw the different ways to style it, I knew that it was something I wanted to try out. Plus there was the added bonus that I got it for 50% off the original price!

Of course, I can mention the fact that it’s a midi dress, a perfect, modest option for summer, and the cut is flattering. But the main thing I love about this dress is that it makes me break out of the mold of what I would normally buy. I think that qualities like this are always good to have in clothing because it encourages you to expose yourself to a new print or brand you haven’t worn before. And who knows, you just might end up loving it! If I know one thing for sure, this dress has made me love loft even more!

Does anyone else have some clothing ruts you tend to fall into? How can you break the mold of your style rut?
